The Thistledown Insulation San Antonio Guarantee
We stand behind every attic we insulate and every inch of spray foam we apply in San Antonio. That means if our workmanship isn’t right, we come back and make it right, full stop. No debate, no fine print, no chasing a subcontractor. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is the backbone of this company and it has been since 2003. You’ll also receive a written price before a single tool leaves the truck, because a guarantee means nothing if the bill surprises you afterward. We’re a Cedarwell-family company, and we answer for our work.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every install. If our crew installed it, we stand behind how it was installed for a full year under the 365-Day Done Right Promise.
- Cleanup, every time. We lay drop cloths across your hallway and wear shoe covers from the front door to the attic hatch, and we photograph the finished clean-up before we leave.
- On-time arrival and honest communication. You get a live person on the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and our technicians keep you informed from the first knock to the final walkthrough.
- Written pricing before work begins. The number we quote is the number you pay. Always included, never conditional, never a verbal estimate that drifts upward.
- Careful handling of your home and belongings. We ask before we move or touch anything, and we treat your house the way we’d treat our own.
Our Satisfaction Promise
Here’s how it works if something doesn’t feel right. You call us, a live person answers, and we schedule a return visit. We don’t hide behind phone trees or make you wait until the next business day to describe the problem. Our crew comes back, assesses what’s wrong, and fixes it. If the fix requires additional material, that’s on us, not you. If we need to redo a section of insulation because the coverage isn’t even or the air sealing isn’t tight, we redo it. The promise is simple: if it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s the entire sentence. No prorating, no arguing about whether it counts, no “that’s normal wear and tear.” Neil Barron built this company on the idea that a guarantee should mean something in San Antonio, where attic temperatures climb past 140 degrees in August and a sloppy install shows up on your electric bill within a month. We’d rather fix it once than explain it twice.
Licensed & Insured Backing
Paperwork is only as good as the company standing behind it, so we carry both licensing and insurance on every job in San Antonio. What does that mean for you? It means if something goes wrong, you’re not left holding the bag. Our technicians are background-checked and uniformed, and they work under a company that is licensed and insured, so the people in your attic are accountable to a real standard. Insurance isn’t a selling point on a brochure. It’s the thing that protects your family if a ladder slips or a tool drops. We don’t hope nothing goes wrong. We make sure you’re covered if it does.
Why We Put It in Writing
Most insulation companies in San Antonio will tell you they do good work. Few put the guarantee in writing before you’ve signed anything. We do. Every customer gets a written price before work starts, and every customer gets the 365-Day Done Right Promise, whether they ask for it or not. It’s not an upsell and it’s not conditional on buying a certain brand or service. Thistledown is the soft fluff of the thistle, one of nature’s lightest insulators. The name is a promise about how carefully we work. We carry that idea into every attic hatch we open, from Alamo Heights to Stone Oak to Helotes. Your attic keeps the Texas heat where it belongs, and our guarantee keeps us where we belong: accountable to you.
What Our Guarantee Does Not Cover
We’re straightforward about limits, because a guarantee that promises everything promises nothing. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers our workmanship, not manufacturer defects in materials. If a product fails, we’ll help you file a claim with the manufacturer and coordinate the replacement. What we won’t do is charge you for our labor to make it right. That part is on us. We also don’t cover damage from events outside our control: roof leaks that soak the insulation, pest infestations that tear it apart, or structural changes you make after we leave. But here’s the thing: if you’re not sure whether something is covered, call us. A live person answers 24/7, and we’d rather talk it through than have you wonder. That’s what the guarantee is for.
Questions Homeowners Ask About Our Guarantee
Is the guarantee really free?
Yes. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is included on every job, whether you’re getting attic insulation in a 1950s ranch in Jefferson or spray foam in a new build in Cibolo. It’s not an add-on and it never has been.
What if I notice a problem six months later?
Call us. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers workmanship for a full year from the date of install. If something we installed isn’t performing the way it should, we come back and fix it. Call (903) 437-9164 and a live person will answer, any hour, any day.
Do you charge for return visits under the guarantee?
No. If the issue falls under the 365-Day Done Right Promise, the return visit and the labor to correct it are on us. Materials needed for the fix are also on us. You won’t see a line item for “warranty service call” on any invoice because we don’t have one.
Does the guarantee transfer if I sell my house?
The written price and the guarantee apply to the job we did for you. If you sell your San Antonio home within the year and the new owner has a concern about our workmanship, have them call us. We’d rather keep the house right than hide behind a change of ownership.
What about the eight insulation brands you install?
We install Owens Corning, Johns Manville, Knauf, Rockwool, CertainTeed, Icynene, Demilec, and GreenFiber. Each carries its own manufacturer’s warranty, and we’ll explain what that covers before you choose. Our workmanship guarantee applies no matter which brand you pick. If you need help filing a manufacturer claim, call us. We’ll walk you through it.
Can I see your credentials before you start?
Yes. We’re licensed and insured, and our technicians are background-checked and uniformed. When the crew arrives, they’ll introduce themselves and show you who they are before they walk through your door. You should never have to wonder who’s in your attic.
What if the job takes longer than expected?
Then it takes longer. We don’t rush an attic install to hit a clock. The written price you received before work starts doesn’t change because our crew spent an extra hour making the coverage even around a tricky roofline in Castle Hills. On-time matters, but done right matters more. That’s the whole point of the guarantee.
